Trust He Will Provide

Trusting God will provide is an act of faith. We need to step out in faith, in order to really show we trust God. This is the sixth devotion in the Stepping Out In Faith Devotional Series on the blog and podcast called: Trust He Will Provide.

Focus verse

“Therefore I tell you, do not be anxious about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink, nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing?” – Matthew 6:25

Devotion

Stepping out in faith is about trust. It’s about trusting in God for provision, instead of being anxious.

God’s provision comes in several ways. Provision of finance. Provision of energy. Provision of time.

When God asks us to go out and make disciples, we can trust He will equip us to do so. When God asks us to step out in faith and move house or change job, we can trust He will provide for us financially. And when God asks us to take on a certain project, we can trust He will give us the energy to do so.

As mothers, God may call us to go through seasons where we spend more time with our children and less time on income-producing endeavours, and we will need to trust Him to provide financially. Or God may lead us to spend more time in ministry and we will need to trust in Him for time and energy.

Whatever God calls us to do specifically, we can be sure that when we’re obedient to God’s calling, He will provide.

Prayer

Thank you Father that You are in control. Thank You I can step out in faith in Your calling and be certain of Your provision. Please help me trust more in You. Amen!
