10 Bible Verses For Anxiety And Depression

Hi mama! Today I’m sharing ten Bible verses for anxiety and depression, which is a common issue we face as women.

One of the key ways I personally deal with anxiety is through prayer and scripture application, which means I apply Bible verses to my anxious thoughts.

So here I want to highlight the importance of both reading God’s word and applying it to your mind when you feel tempted to have anxious or depressive thoughts.

As Christ followers, it’s important we take every thought captive to make it obedient to He who describes Himself as the Way, the Truth and the Life – Jesus Christ. (2 Corinthians 10:5)

Meditate on scripture

One of the key ways we can put an end to our anxious thoughts is to meditate on scripture and ask the Holy Spirit that He would remind us of it when we go through temptation and bring us greater knowledge of truth.

As Jesus says:

If you abide in my word, you are truly my disciples, and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free. (John 8:31-32)
