Did you know that the Bible is full of verses about God’s love for you?

The Bible is God’s written word to us, and we can be confident in its words. But as women in the social media revolution, it’s easy to feel less than others, inadequate for our roles, and feel like God has favourites. We often feel we just don’t measure up to those perfect women portrayed in the media.

That’s why we need the truth of God’s word that as humans we all fall short of God’s glory, but God loves us so much that He sent his Son to die for our sin. To give us eternal life.

Mama, maybe today you feel inadequate and perhaps even inferior to the other mamas you compare yourself to, but I’d like to remind you not to put any other human on a pedestal.

None of us are good enough for each other. Because none of us are perfect. And as humans were created for a relationship with a perfect God. Only He can satisfy completely. So don’t put another human being on a throne that belongs to God alone.

The good news is that although we’re imperfect, God chose us. Yes, He chose us to be His beloved children. He chose us to be mothers to our children. Sisters to our siblings.

And He created us to be unique mums. Unique wives. Unique friends.

God doesn’t have favourites, and He loves each person as the Unique person He created. Think about it. If God made you, it’s because He loves you and He planned you. You have intrinsic worth and value as God’s creation, made in His image.

So, although you are imperfect in yourself (as I am too), you are chosen. God loves you.
